At their December 5 Holiday Program and Party presented by the Continuing Education Committee, Summit County Master Gardeners gathered to celebrate 25 years of gardening and educational experiences.  Since 1994, Summit County Ohio State University Extension Educators have trained 22 classes of Master Gardener Volunteers, resulting in 390 graduates!  Those graduates have served the community with over 109,858 volunteer hours.

At the event, former educators Jim Chatfield, Denise Ellsworth, via video Danae Wolfe, and current educator Jacqueline Kowalski related their memories and experiences. (To see Danae Wolfe’s YouTube video (click here).

In 2020, Master Gardener Volunteers will present three major public programs:  Design & Beyond, January 11; Saturday Gardening Series, February 29 and March 7; and the annual Tour of Gardens, June 27.
